Once you’ve read all these articles, you’ll be well on your way to making some nice passive income.

Downloading the Correct Wallet

You have your choice. You can download any wallet you choose, so long as it’s MetaMask, a wallet from the WalletConnect registry, or Binance Chain Wallet.

Note: DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT download any app from the Google Play store claiming to be “WalletConnect.”

There are scammers out there! For your safety, I have included links that are safe to use:

My preferred choice is MetaMask because you can use a Ledger device with it but you’re welcome to use any wallet of your choosing.

Installing MetaMask

Download MetaMask: https://metamask.io/

After clicking the link above, click the Install MetaMask for [browser name]. You can also choose to install the mobile app but I’ve found installing the browser extension to be easier when connecting to DRIP.

Then click the blue button to Add to [browser name].

Once you’ve added MetaMask to either your browser or downloaded the mobile device, you’ll want to click the Get Started button.

Next, select Create a Wallet and enter a password.

Next, you’ll want to make sure to write down your seed phrase OFFLINE since storing that information online poses a security issue.

My preferred method of saving my passwords and seed phrases offline is to use a Stonebook. The Stonebook is made from real stone which makes it water-proof, tear-proof, you can back up 50+ wallets, safe from hackers, and for $15 extra you can buy an invisible ink pen that only shows your writings using a black light pen. It’s super cool and I am planning on buying a second book to make back ups of my back ups. I love my Stonebook!

After writing down your seed phrases, will ask you to select your passcode/seed phrases in their correct order.

Once that’s done, you should now have a new MetaMask account created. Your account will look something like this (this is the browser version):

You can change your MetaMask wallet name by clicking the three dots to the right of the Account name. Then click Account Details. Type in your new account name and then press the check icon.

If you’ve made it thus far, you’re ready to buy some BNB and get it added to your MetaMask wallet. If you need help buying BNB, follow my BNB Buying Guide here.

Installing a WalletConnect Wallet

After clicking this link, you’ll be taken to a page of approved wallets to use. You can download and install any of these wallets by following the on-page instructions.

Since there are 145 wallets available for download, I won’t be covering any single wallet in particular. Most wallets are similar so after downloading one, you should be a master at downloading and installing WalletConnect wallets.

The most common wallets downloaded are TrustWallet and Rainbow.

Installing the Binance Chain Wallet

Download: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/binance-wallet/fhbohimaelbohpjbbldcngcnapndodjp

If you’re worried about clicking the link above, you can always get to the download place from clicking the following link and then clicking on the Install Extension Wallet link: https://www.binance.com/en/wallet-direct

This process is similar to MetaMask.

  1. Click the Add to [browser name] button.
  2. Once installed, click to Create a new wallet.
  3. If you don’t have a hardware wallet, like a Ledger or Trezor, you can simply click the Generate Seed Phrase button. This will display fields to enter and confirm a password.
  4. Write down the seed phrases displayed here. I highly, highly recommend using something like a Stonebook because passwords are kept offline and safe from hackers. Just make sure wherever you write down your seed phrases that you keep them safe and secure from prying eyes.
  5. After completing those steps, you should now have your Binance Chain Wallet and are ready to send some BNB to your new wallet address.
